Reikicize, Exercise Complemented with Reiki

We all know that exercise is is good for our health. Yet to intellectually know something is different than embracing it.

Reikicize is exercise complemented with Reiki.
This is a sharing of ways anyone could embrace Reiki in healing resulting from any type of illness. Just because this is a story about Reiki helping during a healing journey from a stroke, the examples here can be incorporated into healing after any illness.
I personally have a love-relax relationship with exercise. In my early 20’s I went to a daily yoga class. I have had an off and on relationship with exercise for decades. Since I have been rebuilding my strength from nearly dying from a stroke and related brain aneurysms my relationship to exercise has improved.
I used to think the more the better and the faster the better. As I work with therapists and trainers today I am learning that slower consistent practice is more helpful for me.  I think I used to focus more on maintaining or losing weight, but now my focus is on stronger muscles and integrating changes.
When I awoke from the coma, I was in a rehab hospital. A few days later we found a Therapy Center in Phoenix. In that facility I had Daily therapy with a team of different type of therapists so we relocated to Phoenix for two years.  I am now back in Sedona and reinventing my therapy.
I work with 2 different physical therapists, 1 at a gym and 1 at a local physical therapy Center. I am also working with a yoga therapist.
One difference I realize is in my approach to exercise now, is, I am recognizing how often Reiki helps my healing and stamina.  You see for 3 weeks I was in a coma and when I awoke I could neither walk or talk. The various therapies I have had the benefit of participating in, have been so very helpful on this journey of re-birthing myself.
One thing that was and still is important for me, is to understand the intention of a particular exercise or therapy. There was a time, in the beginning therapy, that when I asked why a specific exercise was important, the therapists thought I was being resistant when all I was really asking was what the intention of a specific exercise was.
When I understood that tapping my toes on a plastic box was to help me strengthen muscles to help me walk up steps, I was very willing to participate. Shortly after that exercise I was presented with a staircase to climb. This is when Reiki became very present in my exercise. You see I would focus on a Reiki symbol on a stair and visualize myself stepping on the symbol. Then I would visualize one on the next step and I would feel an almost magnetic pull up the staircase.
When I started therapy at the gym I used a similar technique. If a spot on my body feels stiff or a little sore I simply think of a Reiki symbol at the sore area and it feels as if discomfort just melts away and the stiffness becomes softer.

Today I actually feel like I “walk on Reiki”.

I have been using Reiki in many ways during therapy. I use it when I communicate with therapists. I use it by sending it to effective therapy. Sometimes I have thoughts or ideas that come to me in dreams.
One such dream message was that therapy for me is most effective when I allow integration time for my body to adapt to the new messages the exercises are giving my body. I often schedule therapy with a day for integration afterwards rather than forcing my body to exhaustion.
The most important thing for me to remember is

“Reiki helps EVERYTHING”

even exercise and retraining our bodies.
Love, peace and infinite blessings,
