The first Mercury Retrograde of 2020, starts in the sign of Pisces on February 17 and ends in the sign of Aquarius on March 10.
Mercury is the planet of communication. It rules over our mind, our thought processes, and our ability to think clearly.
When Mercury enters into retrograde, it guides us to tap into the unseen, hidden realms of our mind. It helps us to tune in and listen so we can become better communicators.
While things in our outside world may feel a little chaotic and all over the place during a Mercury Retrograde, it is our inner world that is calling to us.
Under this Mercury Retrograde, we are being guided to go within and assess how we are using our mind. Are we using it to its fullest potential or are we wasting our mental power on thoughts that do not serve?
It is this questioning that will allow us to rebirth or upgrade the computer of our mind so we can access new dimensions and tap into new willpower.
Mercury Retrograde Through Pisces
While Mercury travels retrograde through Pisces, we may feel our intuition and psychic senses heighten. We may notice signs and messages through our dreams or feel the need to give our emotions a creative outlet.
Mercury Retrograde traveling through Pisces may stir indecisions or make us feel foggy. We may find ourselves getting caught up in delays, red tape, or miscommunications.
If these things do cross our path during this period, it is important to be patient, to wait, and to understand that they are all part of the process of helping us dive deeper.
Mercury Retrograde through Aquarius
As Retrograde Mercury enters Aquarius, which happens from March 4, the focus will shift to how we connect and relate with others.
We may also notice people from our past creeping back into our lives, reminding us to set boundaries or perhaps bring resolution to things that were left unresolved.
As Mercury only enters Aquarius towards the end of its Retrograde, it’s at this time that we may start to feel a little clearer and a little less foggy.
While these themes will be present during this Mercury Retrograde, on deeper currents, this energy will also be guiding us to access new dimensions of our mind.
To open to this energy, start with thinking about your willpower.
We all know the feeling of putting our mind to something and seeing results. We have all had moments in our lives where we have focused our mind to push through something.
The mind is a powerful tool. It can be our biggest motivator but also our biggest block if we allow it to be. The mind can make us believe that we can do anything or nothing. It all depends on the programming and the thoughts we allow to flow in and out.
We all see the world through our own eyes, and what we allow in, what we process, is part of our conditioning, upbringing, and level of consciousness.
The energy that flows through this Retrograde, allows us to rewire some of the programming of our mind.
“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”
This quote by Wayne Dyer seems to be the mantra for this Mercury Retrograde rebirth that we will all feel in some way.
If we open to the energy, we will feel ourselves guided to change and shift our mindset. To change the motivation behind our willpower and to give ourselves more strength and courage to be a part of the creative flow of the Universe, rather than a victim or pawn in the game.
The first few weeks of 2020 have seen some intense, new energies float into our consciousness, and under this Retrograde it is like we are getting the opportunity to integrate, digest, and process them all into the computer of our mind.
There is rebirth energy available here, and perhaps it will take until the Retrograde is complete before we can really start to feel the new willpower and strength of our mind.
During this time we can either get caught up in how annoying Mercury Retrograde is, or we can choose to travel deeper within and figure out how we can see the world with new eyes.
