Is attitude adding or distracting from our intentions?

by Laurelle Shanti Gaia
I have been rather quiet for the last year. I experienced serious brain aneurysms in late July of 2015. Besides using the time to physically heal, I have been doing some deep soul searching to find my own answers to many questions.
Before that experience I often taught Reiki students that healing and curing are two different things. Now I understand that statement in a whole new way. Curing might mean symptoms cease, yet healing may happen during illness when we are offered the opportunity to rest in silence. Silence provides the opportunity to delve deeply into our thoughts and examine the thoughts from many perspectives.
Medical treatment when combined with the use of Reiki helps them function in a complementary fashion, contrasted with alternative treatment which might inadvertently indicate that one way is better than another.
I always pray that Reiki which I channel be directed to the highest good. Not realizing that highest good may be cloaked within new perspectives. Or attitudes.

Is attitude adding or distracting from our intentions?

Positive attitude is more important than I even realized previously. Some say that if we have a positive attitude it is the same as denying reality. I feel it can help to create reality. I am so thankful that the doctors chose to say I had a 2 percent chance of survival rather than a 98 percent chance of something else. Perhaps illnesses are not truly hereditary. Maybe attitudes that contribute to illness are truly what IS hereditary.
I hope all patients and medical personnel and all affected realize how powerful words and attitude are at all times. Even those that come from our environment. I.e. Friends, family, therapists or any source that we are exposed to.
It may be helpful for us to adopt a language of creation rather than using words of distraction. A language of creation is active and intentional. Distraction is often contributing to less than a 100 percent of our best effort. Distractive words are often words that delay right action. Or direct our attention differently.
Reiki is very Intentional. When we intend to use creative statements along with the active application of Reiki, we add power to our intentions.
Statements that contain the word” try” are much less powerful than saying “I will.” Or” I am”.
Both of those statements utilize the energy and power of the now moment. In the now we may be very creative and strong. In the now moment, we often see through the eyes of love.
When we view situations through the eyes of love, we may be able to let go of judgement and see a different perspective. When we visualize a new way and apply Reiki or prayer, we can create that way, and change is then created.
