Reiki Whispers July 2010

The Most Powerful thing a Reiki Healer Can Do!

In the midst of all the challenges today, whether they are changes in the earth, economy, or our health and wellness, there is one thing that becomes priority for every one of us. That one thing is nurturance of self.

How long has it been since you have had a full Reiki treatment from another practitioner? Have you had a therapeutic massage, craniosacral, reflexology or an accupuncture session lately?

What’s so powerful about that? ANDgolden one

Why is it so important NOW?

This is important now because of all the changes on the planet at this time.  We must be clear. We must be strong. We must be committed, focused and on purpose.

We are the ones being called to action, we are the lightworkers, the peaceweavers, prayer workers, the way showers.

There are many reasons that receiving regular healing sessions is important.

  • Prevent healer “burnout”
  • Keep your light strong so you deflect any dark energies rather than absorb them
  • Strengthen your Reiki energy
  • Boost your immune system
  • Stimulate mental clarity and ability to focus
  • Improve ability to meditate
  • Strengthen your Divine connection
  • Enhance your creativity
  • Helps to direct the steps on your Divine path
  • And the list goes on and on

Oh…yes…I know…all the excuses…I have used them all myself. However, I have recently rededicated myself to receiving sessions on a regular basis.

Our Promise

We signed up for this. Yes, allow yourself to remember the time before this incarnation when our souls met on the inner planes. We agreed to return to earth to learn, grow and heal. We agreed to be strong and clear. We agreed to help harmonize the consciousness of humanity with the earth, the universe and beyond. We promised to help usher in the Age of Peace.

Thank you for the light of Divine love that you are. Thank you for sharing your light with the world in so may ways. Thank for sharing heart to heart and soul to soul with me again in this lifetime.

Love, peace and infinite blessings,

Laurelle

  1. Dear Laurelle – Yes heal the healer! It’s such an important part of the practice. It’s also a beautiful way to give back to the reiki community. Reiki shares are great but investing time and resources for a treatment is something else. Thank you for taking the time to write up this this article :) Just lovely.

    Wonderful, insightful, and confirming information.

Dearest Laurelle, as the others have stated, this is extremely important for all of us. Love ourselves first and that means taking time to enjoy a massage/Reiki session. Thanks for the reminder! You are such a blessed soul and certainly in your rightful place.
    Deepest Love to you, Toodie

Hi Ash, I will send you an email with some referrals. <3

  5. Hello Laurelle –

I live in Indiana – south/west tip. We have a nice group here – we don’t get together as often as we like but we try and we’re currently trying to set up free exchanges within our group. It is important.

I appreciate the newsletters and all you do.

    Blessings,
    Deb

This is so true. Finding oneself in a state of unbalance is not good for us, nor those we serve. I can generally tell when I really need a treatment from someone else, but I try not to let it get to that point before indulging.
    Thank you!

  7. Great advice! I have been going to the same massage therapist, now once every 3-4 weeks, since May 2005 when my boyfriend crossed over; she is also a Reiki Master; it is a great gift for myself and for those who receive healing from my hands and spirit! Taking care of oneself is of utmost importance!
Thanks for all you do, Laurelle!

  8. Hello, Laurelle! I’m thoroughly enjoying your website. I am new to my Reiki education. Do you know of any reputable educators in the N.C. area? I would love to come to Sedona but won’t be able to do that until possibly next year. Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated! Much love to you!

Hi Margaret – I lived in Kentucky for 20 years, just across the river from Indiana. I began my Reiki path there. If there are not many people who accept Reiki where you are, perhaps that is precisely why you are there. When we live the Reiki example, people naturally grow curious, and when they learn that special peace we carry with us, is as a result of allowing the Divine Love that is Reiki to flow through our life…people begin to ask more about it. Let Reiki help you find others who have open hearts and minds, and you will likely be pleasantly surprised <3

  11. HI Laurelle
Since last November I, too, have rededicated myself to getting healing work done on a monthly basis. Each month I have a Reiki session, a breathwork session and a massage. It has made a huge difference. Huge! I used to do this and then got too “busy” with my practice. Then I got sick. It’s been so incredibly healing to be back in the flow.

Thank you for all you do and who you are.

    With love and gratitude,

    Deb :)

I had a full Reiki treatment last night (7/5/10) and it was wonderful! She used crystals and the perkalite in the session. I felt rested and relaxed and energized. My foot didn’t hurt anymore either. Very soothing.

  13. You’re welcome, Laurelle.
Thank you also. I needed your reminder today. I’ll reconnect with my massage therapist.

I will receive Reiki II the first part of August. I’m excited.

    Blessings to you.

Thank you for the reminder and the thoughtfulness…

  15. Thank you for this wonderful reminder.
Just recently I re-committed to this as well and offered to exchange healing sessions with another Reiki practitioner on regular basis. We both look forward to the next session.
    Love and Light to you

Thank you so much for your news letter, it helps me keep in touch with what is going on ouside my town. I live in Indiana and reiki is not always accepted here. I enjoy your insights and hope to some day come to Arizonia for your karuna reiki program. Blessings to you.

    Dear Laurelle,
Thank you for sharing this article with me. It is a reminder of what we signed up to do as Reiki practitioners.
We mustn’t forget self treatments as well.

  18. Thank you so much for remembering me about this. We all need to do it and I will call and make my appointment today!

Thank you, Laurelle, for this message. There is so much that needs to be done by each and every one of us that (and I’m just speaking for myself) sometimes we feel overcome, over-extended, and overwrought. And the BP disaster has just pushed that into hyperdrive.

    Namaste

  20. Dearest Sister,
This is one of your most powerful messages! Thank you for your Light and Love.

As ever, this month’s whisper was exactly what I needed to hear :) We spend so much time working for others and the planet that we often convince ourselves that giving some of the same time, love and attention to us is selfish. We need to be aware of all our Reiki principles, but especially the last one – last but by no means least!! Many thanks Laurelle xxx

Laurelle, thank you for this reminder once again. Personal self care was one of my 2010 New Year resolutions. But I have not honored this resolution as well as I could. Other people’s needs always seem to come before mine. I am sure others find this to be true. I will be scheduling my own Reiki session very soon.

  24. GeniseJuly 6, 2010 @ 9:23 am

I have been a Usui Reiki Master-teacher for 12 years and I STRESS loudly to my friends and students that we have to take excellent care of ourselves FIRST before we can take care of others. Noone can help others if you/we are sick and shut in ourselves

  25. RandiJuly 6, 2010 @ 9:21 am

Thanks Laurelle for reminding us all about the reason we are here for. I think we all tend to forget ourselves and our personal need during these hard times. I know I did! Last Sunday I started meditating again – and it was wonderful and gave me so much insight and strength, which I needed. I will continue giving myself Reiki every day. It does help and it is important. Love and Blessings to you!
