Now we know our body is composed not only of physical elements such as muscles, bones, nerves, arteries, organs, glands, etc.; it also has a subtle energy system and chakras through which ‘life force energy’ flows.
Healing can be defined as a process which leads to a sense of wholeness and inner peace. The healing we speak of here is related to, yet different from “curing”. As human beings, we are so much more than our physical bodies. We can also see ourselves as a beautiful expression of spirituality in physical form. Our bodies are a blend of spiritual, mental, emotional and physical energy in continuous interplay. It is in seeing ourselves through “spiritual eyes” that we are able to affect our sense of well-being, by journeying into the healing power of our soul.
Following are some affirmations that can be used, in conjunction with Reiki, prayer and/or meditation to assist in clearing and balancing the chakras. These affirmations indicate the areas that each chakra relates to in reference to our thoughts, feelings and actions.
The seven energy centers, or chakras that we are focusing on here include the base, sacral/creative, solar plexus, heart, throat, brow or third eye and crown chakras. We have additional soul level chakras that are explored in our self-study audio programs.
Fortunately, we have tools inherent within our bodies that can help release toxins, thus allowing us to maintain or create wellness. Among these tools is the etheric energy field, which consists of spiritual, mental and emotional layers (often referred to as energy bodies) woven into a cocoon of light. This cocoon of energy houses our life essence.
The American Institute of Stress estimates that 75-95% of visits to doctors can be attributed to bodily stress. Continual stress blocks the body’s natural ability to repair, regenerate and protect itself, and the effects of unresolved stress range from minor aches to major health concerns such as heart disease, cancer, digestive disorders, depression, respiratory and skin problems.
Wellness consciousness can be defined as an intuitive awareness of your body’s needs. This ability can guide you through the self-healing process.
As you begin to feel more empowered through greater awareness of the healing power of your soul, you may also develop the understanding that we are all responsible for the conditions in our life including our health quality.
