Hello, I am Laurelle Shanti
Gaia. Welcome to the rest of my story
Fourteen
years ago I founded the Infinite Light Healing Studies Center,
Inc. We are located in Sedona,
Arizona.
Over
the years our Center has taken different forms, but has always
served as an umbrella for my healing work, teaching, writing and
for the development of advanced healing techniques, including
Reiki techniques, color healing, and earth healing and peaceweaving
programs. I also provide the service of Soul Profile Reports and
Clearing sessions via distant energy work. I have 16 years experience
with Reiki healing and over 25 years experience with complementary
healing modalities.
All things are energy . . .
I have a soul level knowing that all things are energy, even peace.
I have seen firsthand how prayer and Reiki can change the energy
of a human being so much that radical chemo therapy treatments
have little side effect. I have seen Reiki set a broken bone,
and heal a burn before my eyes. I don't just believe in
the power of spiritual energy to transform I know it to
be so. I am convinced that we can utilize what we have learned
about Reiki for healing humans and apply it to raising the vibration
of the collective consciousness and work together to co-create
the promised
"age of peace".
My healing practice . . .
In my healing practice I work with a variety of chronic illnesses,
like cancer, chronic fatigue, and fibromyalgia. I also work with
survivors of multiple types of abuse, adults and children. Many
people come to me for the simple aches and pains of everyday life,
to relieve stress and sometimes just to find a little serenity
in a safe haven. Often my clients come to me to help them get
more deeply in touch with their inner guidance and more focused
on their purpose in life.
I am honored to serve the International Center for Reiki Training
as the Director of Teacher Licensing, assisting student teachers
as they progress through our program. It brings me great joy to
assist such wonderful healing spirits. I learn so much working
with this great group of people. As a licensed teacher I have
traveled extensively around the world teaching classes.
Creating harmony . . .
In 1995 I felt the need to organize a group of Reiki practitioners
and teachers from a variety of schools, to focus on promoting
harmony in our Reiki community. The day after I established that
intent, a wonderful woman, another Reiki Master from a different
school, "poofed" into my life. Together we co-founded
our local healing group United in Healing. The group has grown
into a beautiful network of healing practitioners who work together
for community outreach and service projects, and support one another
on our personal healing paths.
My personal healing . . .
When I found Reiki, or Reiki found me, I had been diagnosed with
clinical depression. I owned an established computer graphic business,
was a workaholic, and a momaholic. I tried to be everything for
everybody and left nothing for myself. So to make a long story
short, I became burned out, or "hit the wall" as they
say in the graphic biz.
Reiki helped me balance my energies again. When I first studied
Reiki, I thought I was learning it to be able to heal everyone
else. Little did I know that Reiki had other plans for me. The
first two years with Reiki I went through an intense healing of
repressed anger, and emotions. Reiki helped me begin to understand
who I am for the first time in my adult life. I had allowed the
world around me to lead me into the "Land of Forgotten Purpose"
for many years.
A prayer from and 8 year old heart . . .became my quest;
You see I really knew at a very young age that this work is why
I was called to the planet at this time. When I was 8 years old
I decided it was time to become a responsible person, and of course
responsible people have a plan for their lives. So I began to
wonder what I should do with my life. Well "coincidentally"
my grandmother had just given me a Bible. She said, "Honey,
if you ever have any questions about life, all the answers are
in this book". Well I thought this was wonderful, I would
just look myself up in this book and find out what I would do
when I grew up. Guess what, the book didn't even have my name
in it.
As I diligently searched the Bible for the answer to my question
I became mesmerized by the stories of Jesus doing healing. I proudly
announced to my family that "When I grow up I am going to
travel around the world, and help heal people, and teach them
that they can do this to". Ooops...wrong thing to say. The
response was, "That's very nice honey, but you can't do that,
only Jesus can." "Oh no" I said, "It says
right here (in John) these things I do you can do and even greater."
"I know that's what it says,
but that's not what it means".
So for various reasons, I allowed my inner knowing of my life's
purpose to be blocked when I was just 8 years old. But not before
I had a little conversation with God. I said "God, I really
want to help people like Jesus did, they say I can't, but the
Bible says I can. So I guess if I am supposed to do this you'll
figure it out and show me someday".
That prayer was completely released and forgotten, but looking
back, I was guided from that moment on. I was guided through good
times and tough times. Sometimes I made the easy choice, and sometimes
I made harder ones. But somehow, God helped me find my way to
live the answer to the prayer of an 8 year old with a dream.
